This standard contains a general description of various methods and tools that meet the requirements of IEC 61508-2 and IEC 61508-3. As fundamental safety standards, they are intended to be used by technical committees in the preparation of standards. The terms of reference of the technical committee include the use of fundamental safety standards when preparing their own standards. In this case, the requirements, inspection methods or verification conditions of this underlying safety standard will not apply unless specifically stated or included in standards prepared by these technical committees
Настоящий стандарт содержит общее описание различных методов и средств, обеспечивающих выполнение требований МЭК 61508-2 и МЭК 61508-3. Как основополагающие стандарты по безопасности они предназначены для использования техническими комитетами при подготовке стандартов. В круг обязанностей технического комитета входит использование основополагающих стандартов по безопасности при подготовке собственных стандартов. В этом случае требования, методы проверки или условия проверки настоящего основополагающего стандарта по безопасности не будут применяться , если это не указано специально, или они будут включаться в стандарты, подготовленные этими техническими комитетами
